About Us

The Actors Conservatory Theatre is a Westchester based non-profit organization which was founded in 1975. ACT has staged many mainstage productions throughout the years including original musicals and dramas. We have conducted numerous acting workshops since 1977 for children, beginner actors and scene study workshops for experienced performers. Hundreds of actors have trained with ACT and many have gone on to successful careers in TV, film and theater.

Our improv mystery troupe has raised thousands of dollars since 1991 for other non-profit organizations staging original theme dinner dances, as well as entertaining at corporate events and private celebrations.

ACT productions have provided a training ground for young theatre technicians and has awarded cash scholarships to high school students pursuing theatre studies in college. Falling Rock Zone, our comedy improv troupe, was created in 1985 and has performed at clubs, colleges, theaters, First Nights, corporate events and fundraisers.

Our volunteer base is extensive and increasing each year. Volunteers assist with ushering, concessions, set constructions, lighting and backstage duties. ACT's primary goal is to provide quality theatre to Westchester audiences at a reasonable cost, to assist young actors and technicians in the art of theatre and to encourage volunteerism within the community.
