About Us:

Fueled by her ever burning love for the theatre, Audrey Marlyn Singer founded the Actors Forum Theatre in 1975, converting a tin building located on Cahuenga Boulevard West to a small theatre with the help of her many actor friends. She was looking to rent a theatre to put on the play "Dylan" when she realized it was time to get a space of her own. For 19 years, she produced, and/or directed, and/or acted in many, many shows that the Actors Theatre Forum mounted at 3365 1/2 Cahuenga Boulevard West, nestled at the foot of the Hollywood Hills, between Los Angeles and the gateway to the Valley. She successfully established the Actors Forum Theatre as an award winning theatre group that continually produced top notch shows.

When the building was sold, Audrey and her husband Mike Singer decided to relocate in the NoHo Arts District, L.A.'s newest and fastest growing theatre and arts center. In 1994, they bought the building at 10655 Magnolia Boulevard, the current home of the Actors Forum Theatre. The following year, after converting it into a comfortable and charming 45 seat Equity House, they opened with the play "Monique." Audrey continues to produce award winning and notable shows, the most recent of which include "The Great Sebastians," "The Boyfriend," "Fireflies: Wizards of Magic," Messin' With Destiny," and "A Hatful of Rain."
