Went to see The Humans, while I felt the actual play left something to be desired, the performances were fantastic. The venue itself was fantastic. Great site lines, no challenge with hearing the performance, and it was easy to navigate to and from seats. I especially enjoyed the cultural mix of Broadway with my beer in a plastic cup complete with lid and straw.

Great play, reminded me of when the Ahmanson showcased up and coming playwrights. Can't wait to see what shows up after all the construction is completed. For now, east at Kendall's Brasserie... good is always delicious. Waiters and waitresses always polite and helpful. You will never feel rushed. Ask what drinks aren't on the drink menu. I always go for the endless mimosas. Last time I didn't get an ice bucket and it got a bit warm so be sure to ask for an ice bucket. Otherwise just fabulous and it will be consistent.

The theaters undergoing a lot of change but I really like the new restaurant great shrimp cocktail and great tacos! Made for great gnashing before the play! Can't say that we really like 'The Humans"...... Left me a little bored not fulfilled and needing and wanting more but that's just my opinion.... Otherwise I think the Ahmanson is great!

This theatre is showing its age. Although the view to the stage and the acoustics are good ( we saw a play with no amplification) the seating itself is horribly uncomfortable and cramped. You are pushing shoulder to shoulder with the people next to you. I'm 5'10" and there is less legroom than the economy section on United Airlines. There was a 6'3" person in our group and he was able to put his feet out in the aisle. I ended up leaving during the play because it was so cramped and uncomfortable that it was a total distraction. Considering the price of tickets they could do better.
