Mission:
The Arizona Women's Theatre Company produces contemporary, provocative, thought provoking plays written by women. We provide an innovative forum for women's voices.
Our work is guided by these values:
-Produce theatrical works by and with women for our community
-Produce recent plays not previously produced in the Phoenix Metro area
-Provide audiences with theatre in an intimate venue
-Provide opportunity for community involvement and development through audience talkbacks, workshops and events
-Demonstrate flexibility and take risks
We are the only theatre in Arizona to focus on women playwrights and directors. Founded in 2003 as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation, we produce work that reveals women’s lives and documents women’s experiences.
