Mission
Founded in 1978 through the efforts of Vincent Morreale, Mildred Butler, Ruth Jackson, Joe Barron, Richard Baker, Betty Bogle, Betty Saunders, and others, Corinth Theatre Guild is a not-for-profit community theatre company in Northern Saratoga County with a four-fold mission: to bring high-quality theatre to the Corinth area; to develop new plays, revues, and musicals; to find fresh, original ways to bring new audiences into the theatre; and to give the Community Cupboard and its visitors a welcoming home at 6 Fourth Street in Corinth.
History
Based in Corinth, NY, the Corinth Theatre Guild was formed in the mid-1900s, growing from the efforts of the Catholic Daughters’ Minstrel Shows, which put on many productions for the public’s enjoyment in the Corinth area. They formally organized as a Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) corporation in 1978. The CTG seeks to become an integral part of the area’s economic revitalization, offering year-round productions and programs.
