The crown jewel of the arts program is the historic Kirby Theater, a Person County government property. It is located on Main Street in Historic
Uptown Roxboro.
From its large-scale seating for over 850 concert-goers to its grand interior featuring tremendous hand painted murals, patrons are visually dazzled even before the show begins.
Once a thriving movie palace, the Kirby is the main location for a large portion of arts programming hosting such names as Branford Marsalis, The Count Basie Orchestra and many more.
