Mount Washington Valley Theatre Company
Mission Statement:
The Mount Washington Valley Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing and enriching the performing arts in Northern New Hampshire and Western Maine.
The Mount Washington Valley Theatre Company is a professional non-profit musical theatre located in the quaint village of North Conway in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains. It was founded in 1970 by a group of Dartmouth College graduates, including Director John Sayles, Gordon Clapp and David Strathairn, who lived in Mt. Washington Valley after graduation. In 1974, the theatre obtained nonprofit status, and in 1982, the Company changed the format to musical theatre. Many talented and now well-known actors have graced the stage at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse, and the Company continues to attract professional actors, directors, and crew from across the country each summer. 2006 marks the Company's 36th year of production.
