I have seen about 6 or 7 shows over the last decade. Phenomenal local alternative to Broadway. The sets are always intricate and amazing feats of engineering (my favorite was 'meet me in ST Louie'. The acting and singing is always very good. The atmosphere and venue is welcoming, the great fireplace blazes in the cold winter months. I highly recommend a visit.

Stopped by this cute New Jersey regional theater to see The Outsider. A fun and witty political play that kept the audience entertained the entire show. The price of a alcoholic beverage is well priced for a theater and just boozy enough to justify the purchase. Had a great time, will certainly visit again.

We saw "Annie" with our son and 5 year granddaughter for her birthday. We had 6 people in total and everyone loved it. The show was great. My granddaughter had a blast. Definitely would return to see other shows perhaps during the warmer season.

We are embarrassed to admit we hadn't been to the Paper Mill Playhouse for 20+ years we have lived in New Jersey, until we went to see "Annie" recently. What an amazing performance! The actors and actresses were excellent. And the staging and facilities were top notch. Finally, we were able to park right across the street and get out within 10 minutes after the performance ended. So why do we feel that we have to schlep into the City to have a theatre experience? I guess we were snobs before, but after this wonderful experience - no more!

The Playhouse is authentic and entertaining. They have a restaurant, a nice size lobby area to hang prior to the show & a Playhouse museum area. The Millburn Ave & Main St area has much to offer to make a day or night out of the show.
