Information on:
Paul Poag Theatre For The Performing Arts
The Paul Poag Theatre for the Performing Arts is owned and operated by the City of Del Rio. The facility was a movie theater named "The Rita Theater" for many years, and was donated to the city by John and Evelyn Prude in memory of Del Rio Theater owner Paul Poag. The main requirement the Prudes placed on their gift to the city is that it be used as a performing arts theatre.
The theatre is available for both "for-profit" and "non-profit" events and promoters.
The Paul Poag Theatre is a 450 seat proscenium facility located at 746 South Main Street. The Paul Poag Theatre is owned by the City of Del Rio. The theatre staff is available to help with all aspects of the performance, please call or write for information or technical assistance.
