About Us:
Relix Variety opened in 2008 as Relix Variety Store, an antiques consignment business operating in an empty historic building in Downtown North Knoxville in the Happy Holler district. A small lunch counter began to serve tasty beverages. A musician wandered in and noticed the great acoustic properties (and tasty beverages). By the end of the year Relix became Relix Variety Theatre and has been growing ever since!
Relix Variety Theatre is a Special Events venue located in the Happy Holler Historic District one mile north of downtown. Our facility was constructed in 1915 as a CI Vest Dry Goods, but has seen several great uses including White Stores grocery from WW II until the late 60's.
Our facility has been transformed into a unique, flexible space designed to host a variety of events... With 15 foot exposed rough-sawn wood ceiling, exposed brick walls, and polished concrete floors and bar tops, Relix is a comfortable and inviting space which hosts the best events in Knoxville!
Our service-driven staff and full-service capable commercial kitchen can accommodate any type of event from corporate meetings to rock concerts.
Our facility has a full sprinkler system and can accommodate 300 people. We have a 500 sqft carpeted loft that overlooks the main floor. The loft is usable for a private reception area, lounge, green room, or vip suite. We have a large patio that can be tented for additonal space. A private suite is available.
