Shores Theatre
About Us:
In 1935 the Shores Theatre opened its doors to an eager movie watching public. Back in those days a movie theatre served as gathering place for the community. It was within these silhouette-shrouded walls that many learned about and saw news from around the world. It was also here that many heartthrobs were shown dashing across the silver screen. Movies have a way of bringing us together and allowing us as a community to share an experience.
The Shores Theater under new ownership by Liggett Holdings since 2004 is making a renewed commitment to the community and reawakening the spirit of the past. Reawakening the glory and majesty of the early film era in a new state of the art theatre.
Our goal is to provide a family friendly atmosphere where children, parents and grandparents can share the movie going experience together.
Our new theatre will feature 5 screens offering an intimate high quality movie-watching environment. Each of the 5 theatres includes state of the art sound, lighting and imaging equipment. Each theater features stadium seating with comfortable seats that include arm rests and cup holders. We have left nothing to chance; the viewing experience from every seat is tremendous.
Our new an improved concession stand has something for every taste. Whether you enjoy movie favorites like buttered popcorn and soda pop or have a taste for nachos with cheese you’ll be sure to find it waiting for you when you step up to the counter.
