Mission:
The mission of The Depot Theatre is to enrich, entertain and educate our community through professional theatrical arts in a historic train station.
Vision:
The Depot Theatre will have a robust regional presence by continuing to create professional theatre of the highest quality, building strong partnerships and enhancing our commitment to serving our artists and our community.
About Us:
The Depot Theatre is dedicated to bringing professional theatre to the Lake Champlain Region and preserving our historic home.
The Depot Theatre is a non-profit professional theatre in the Adirondacks, operating under an agreement with Actors’ Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States. In addition to its volunteer board of trustees, the theatre depends on its support and generosity of loyal donors, volunteers and community members. Committed to promoting and providing exposure to the performing arts in the Adirondacks, the Depot Theatre invites all to “Take a journey without leaving the station.”
The Depot Theatre is located in an restored 1876 train station within view of the Adirondack High Peaks, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and Lake Champlain.
Our historic building is a functioning train station built in 1876, so journeys with The Depot Theatre are both literal and figurative. Our theatrical journeys require no passport or baggage, just your willingness to sit in a comfortable seat in an air conditioned room while our professional artists dazzle you with story, dance and song.
