About Us:

Theatre Group began over 35 years ago as a community theatre program known as the Lakewood Players. With a strong base of community contributions from the theatre artists around Denver, LP rapidly emerged as one of the stronger nonprofit community theatres in the state. In the mid-80's, Lakewood Players later changed locations and underwent a name change, and started performing at their Theatre On Broadway at 135 South Broadway and in '91 moved 2 blocks north to their current location at 13 South Broadway.

In 1998, Theatre Group purchased and remodeled the old RiverTree Theatre into a 124 seat theatre and renamed the space Phoenix Theatre.
