About Us:
Voorhees Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) community theatre organization. Our mission is to provide opportunities to young people to experience theatre as performers, technicians, managers, and audience members.
Voorhees Theatre Company is an outgrowth of the recreational theatre program that began as part of the Voorhees Community Education and Recreation (CER) Department of the Voorhees Township Board of Education more than 20 years ago.
In 2002, the theatre program incorporated as a separate non-profit entity, The Voorhees Theatre Company.
Voorhees Theatre Company continues to partner with CER to bring theatre opportunities to young people in Voorhees and surrounding communities.
Voorhees Theatre Company is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees.
We hire professional artistic staff to direct, choreograph, design and build sets, create lighting, and costume our productions. We also provide opportunities to students to obtain training in a variety of theatre arts.
In addition, we rely on the volunteer efforts of many people to build sets, create and manage costumes, oversee cast members, publicize our programs, and help us raise funds.
Voorhees Theatre Company receives no funding. We rely on participation fees charged to cast members, ticket sales, concession sales during our performances, and fund raising efforts to fund our programs
To fulfill our mission, Voorhees Theatre Company typically produces the following programs each year: Spring
24-Hour Theatre Workshop

Master Performance Classes
