The Windsor Theatre is owned by The Windsor Theatre Development Corporation, a non-profit organization formed in 1998. A nine-member board of directors meets monthly to oversee operations, determine policy, and set prices.
The Windsor Theatre is located in downtown Hampton, northeast of the Franklin County Court House.
The Windsor Theatre shows at least one "first-run" movie each day. A new movie opens on Friday and runs through the following Thursday. Special matinees are scheduled for school students or sponsored by local businesses or service clubs.
As well as showing movies, the Windsor Theatre can be scheduled for meetings and other group activities. Past uses of the theatre have included training classes, company meetings, community drawings, family reunions, comedy night, and a wedding.
